Hi, I’m Gemma, a Health and Wellbeing Coach in South Devon.

I love tea, reading, being by the sea, going on walks (as long as there is a cafe and cake somewhere along the way), knitting, singing along in the car and talking about wellbeing!

Time for the serious (ish) bit…..

I’ve been supporting the wellbeing of adults and young people for over 10 years now, working in both the education and charity sectors and, after experiencing a serious heart problem in 2023 I decided to use what I learnt during my recovery to try something a bit different and train as a Health and Wellbeing Coach.

I’m a mum and parent carer to two children and also live with a long term health condition and the long term impacts of my heart event so I can be truly empathetic and offer a supportive space where you can explore your needs, be curious about what would help you meet those needs and give them a try…all with no pressure. If you hate the self care activity we’ll just try something else. After all, self care should be joyful and actually helpful, not just another thing on your ‘to do’ list.

I am passionate about the benefits of nature connection and creativity (even for those who say they aren’t arty - neither am I and I promise it helps!) and their positive impact on our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. I love to take sessions outside, listening to the birds, the sea or watching the wind in the leaves.

I believe that everyone deserves access to self care and to feel happy and well, regardless of body size (did I mention I am anti diet/weight inclusive, so will never ever tell you you need to lose weight), gender identity, neurodiversity, disability or religion so there is no judgement here - just compassion, kindness and a genuine desire to help you live a life filled with joy!

As you can see from my qualifications list…. I love learning too!
